WCAS Learning Resource Centre (LRC) spread over 10,000 sq. ft. area divided into Reference Section, Book Bank, Study Area, Discussion rooms for students and faculty.

The LRC has more than 40,000 books including over 4,000 reference books covering more than 4,300 titles relating to Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering, Electric Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, English, Information Technology, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics besides several other subjects. It also provides access to journals in the areas of Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, and Management through EBSCO.

The LRC has fully computerized facility for book management using integrated online software application “Academia”. It provides access to information related to library database and available resources from anywhere in the world through Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) with different search options.

LRC is fully equipped with 19 computer terminals with 4 points Wi-Fi facilities, 1 photocopy machine and 2 printers for facilitating students in doing their academic work.

DELNET – Library Network

Oman Digital Academic Library

The Research Council (TRC) has created Oman Digital Academic Library (ODAL) for the purpose of fostering creativity and providing access to knowledge to college and school students.

Interlibrary Loan

The library offers interlibrary loans in order to facilitate greater access to student and staff of the college. The library intends to enter into mutual agreements with other libraries situated in Oman that do not charge the borrowings of resources. Codes of Conduct

LRC has set following codes of conduct and expects from visitors to follow strictly.

a) Only bona fide members (registered students, academic and non-academic staff, guest faculty) of the college are allowed to use library facilities.

b) Students and staff should always carry their identity cards issued to them by the college while entering the library. Books are issued only after producing identity card at the circulation desk.

c) Users having overdue books are not allowed to issue books until they are returned along with payment of overdue.

d) 50 baisa per day per book will be charged if the book is not returned on or before due date.

e) Users are required to check the physical condition of the book at the time of issuance and should report to the library staff if any damage is found.

f) Students should maintain silence. Talking or laughing loudly and discussion inside the library are not allowed.

g) Disruptive and unsafe acts, such as sitting on wrong places, climbing on shelves, running, fighting, or displacing library materials are strictly prohibited.

h) Use of cell phones and personal music devices are not allowed in the library.

i) Personal books or handbags are not allowed inside the library. Students should keep them on the shelves kept outside the library.

j) The library staff is not responsible for loss or theft of any personal belongings of the users.

k) Eating, drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited in the library.

l) Users are not allowed to bring children below 12 years of age along with them inside the library.

m) Chatting and playing cards/games are not allowed on the computer terminals.

n) Users should avoid indulging themselves in any activities, which will disturb or prevent other users in availing designated library services.

o) Defacing library materials, moving chairs and tables, writing on surface of tables are strictly prohibited.
